The car gets the attention. The driver makes the drive.
You stop worrying about what's in front of you. You're just in it, and the road and everything around you starts to open up. You notice things you'd normally miss, because you're actually present.
What do most people get wrong in a group drive like this?Too many cars. It turns into keeping track of who's in front and who's behind, you lose the group, then you spend the drive trying to fix it. At that point you're not really driving anymore.
What do you pay attention to in the first few miles?Anyone new, and the pace, making sure everyone's comfortable. If the start works, the rest of it usually falls into place.
What's something small that makes a big difference during the drive?Music.
What does a good drive feel like by the end?Like you could keep going for another three hours.
What's one thing people should do differently next time they go out?Nothing, really, not with this group. If anything, more time after. That's one of the best parts, hanging out, getting to know people. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, but it just works. You don't really see that anywhere else.
Why do you keep coming back?Getting to drive my car the way it's meant to be driven, and sharing that with people who feel the same way.
