The car gets the attention.

The driver makes the drive.

What's the first thing you notice when the drive is working?

You stop worrying about what's in front of you.

You're just in it. The road, the surroundings, everything starts to open up.

You notice things you've never noticed before because you're actually present.

What do most people get wrong in a group drive like this?

Too many cars.

It turns into trying to keep track of who's in front, who's behind. You lose the group, then you're trying to fix it.

At that point, you're not really driving anymore.

What do you pay attention to in the first few miles?

Anyone new.

Feeling out the pace so everyone's comfortable.

If the beginning works, the rest of it usually falls into place.

What's something small that makes a big difference during the drive?

Music.

What does a good drive feel like by the end?

Like you could keep going for another three hours.

What's one thing people should do differently next time they go out?

Nothing really with this group.

If anything, more time after.

That's one of the best parts. Hanging out, getting to know people.

Everyone comes from different backgrounds, but it just works.

You don't really see that in most groups.

Why do you keep coming back?

Getting to drive my car the way it's meant to be driven.

And sharing that with people who feel the same way.
